By Michelle Dudley

It's summer time, that means it's time to mix martinis for your guests, or for yourself and relax poolside sipping great martini cocktails. You can serve these cocktails in plastic martini glasses or your own martini glasses. I suggest plastic ones for an outdoor BBQ or poolside party. So here are ten great martini recipes for summer BBQs and outside parties.

Half-fill a martini shaker with ice and add the gin, lime
juice, Curacao, schnapps and sugar. Shake well for at least 30 seconds
pour in the mixture through a strainer. Garnish with lemon zest.

Martini Glass and garnish.

Strawberry Martini recipe

1 1/2 - 2 oz gin

1 tsp dry vermouth

1 tsp Rose's® grenadine syrup

Lemon Drop Martini

1 teaspoon superfine sugar

3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice

Ice cubes

Superfine sugar for dipping

Twisted peel of lemon

Mix the vodka, Triple Sec, sugar, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice; shake well
(supposedly the cocktail is to be shaken 40 times to make sure the sugar is well blended). Pour strained
liquor into sugar-rimmed martini glass and garnish with a twisted peel of lemon.

Key Lime Martini

2 oz. Stolichnaya Vanilla Vodka

1 oz. Rose's Lime Juice

1 oz. Half and Half Cream

Shake with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Serve with a lime twist

Watermelon Martini

2 ounces chilled vodka

2 1/2 teaspoons Cointreau liqueur

3 pieces ripe watermelons, 1 inch cubes

1 sprig mint

Pour Cointreau over the watermelon in a mixing glass.
Mash watermelon and cointreau into a puree with the back of a spoon.
Shake contents vigorously, then strain into a chilled Martini glass.
Garnish with mint.

Tropical Peach Martini

2 oz. Malibu Coconut Rum

2 oz. Peach Vodka

2 oz. Ginger Ale

Shake with ice. Strain into martini glass.
Garnish with a fresh slice of peach.

Banana Split Martini

1 oz Cointreau

1 oz Banana Liqueur

1 oz Orange Juice

Shake and serve this in a chilled martini glass.

The Citrus Martini

1 oz Cointreau

1 oz Absolute Vodka

Grapefruit Juice

Splash of lime

Shake in a shaker with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass.

Cosmopolitan Martini

1/2 oz Cointreau® orange liqueur

1 oz vodka

juice of 1/2 limes

1 splash cranberry juice

Pour all ingredients in mixing glass half filled with ice, shake and strain into chilled martini glass.

To chill your martini glasses put them in the freezer, or fill the glass to the brim with ice and fill with
water or club soda (Only remove the ice and liquid moments before you pour your martini). Remember to have fun and drink responsibly.
